Blogpost 79: Forest Meditation
Sometimes, when walking in the Forest,the way is very clear.
Sometimes the path is steep, requiring effort.Sometimes it is much easier.At other times there are obstacles to be negotiated.
Some paths we thought would take us forward, we find blocked.
Sometimes it can be dark and we struggle to see the way.
Sometimes friends seem far away.
But often they draw close without us realising.
And then it is that we can walk together.
Sometimes we seek the light.
But sometimes it is important that we see a little less.
Always we walk for silence, for the silence centres us.
Some gates open us easily and we pass through with little effort.
But sometimes those we hoped would offer access we find locked,
with walls too high to see across.And thus for now,we do not know the reason why.
The way across the water may challenge us,
until we learn to bridge the gap.
Sometimes obstacles seem sent to warn us.
If we persist, we often find the way we chose was not wisest.
Sometimes the world seems far away;
sometimes much too close.
Some pass us by at speed.
But we choose to make our way more slowly.Often we linger.
For there is much we would experience upon our journey.
Some paths, we know, others walked before.
On some it seems we walk where others never trod.
On some we can take rest.
And dwell upon the memories that linger.
Sometimes the way is obvious.
Sometimes we must make a decision.Sometimes we must admit that we are lost.
Then, if we are not too stubborn, we will seek direction
We are learning, slowly learning, which roads take us off our path;
and which it is that will lead home.
